Adventures in Cuba -Day 5
Me and You Shall Never Part… Final Day
I woke up both happy but yet, sad. Gregory, Arneri and I had our last breakfast together in Cuba and I inquire with Gregory about the art hangings in the rooms. Gregory very graciously gave me one of his sketches, which he did himself of the view from the balcony.
Breakfast at Hotel Iglatera
As I enjoyed the wonderful breakfast buffet, I’m reflecting on my trip. Succulent bites of roasted pork, scrambled eggs and the most natural fruit juices ever makes my heart heavy as I realize that I’ve been reformed. There is so much for me to do here. So many ways I can help. I took the longest and slowest walk back to the Casa. When I arrived back to the place I have called home for five days, Gregory calls me a cab to the airport and I gather my things. I get to the door and we say our last goodbyes, Arnie says to me to come back and “This is your home. We are your family”. Off I go down the 10 flights of stairs as I almost fall thinking…. No, I am not ready to leave.
Audios Cubano
Of course at the airport, I grab some Havana Club Rum!! Yep and I continue my journaling until my plane arrives and I am off to Miami.
Now Boarding: MIA to ATL
A young lady from South Africa and I spoke all the way from Miami to Atlanta. She is starting a clothing business and has a business plan. What drew me to her was how motivated she was. She begins to panic when she realizes that she is going to miss her flight to Johannesburg, South Africa. After the plane lands, I assist to her next flight as she has her 1-year-old son. Of much disappointment, she missed her flight and had to get a hotel for the night. My best friend picks me up and my birthday vacation is officially over.
Thanks so much for taking this journey with me. You may not have been able to be with me in the physical sense, but through my experience, stories and videos, you share this with me in spirit. See you on the next Get-A-Way! I am your Nosey Nomad…Peace
