Negril Treehouse Resort Sunset at the Palms

On a recent birthday celebration, my best friend and I visited the Sunset at the Palms Treehouse resort, in Negril. Here are a few tips for planning the perfect trip.
Club Mobay VIP Airport Service
The Club Mobay airport service is a unique concierge service the expedites travelers through customs and on to an exclusive lounge that includes small bites and cocktails. The host welcomes you with cool towels and warm smiles, as you wait on your resort transportation. Suggestion: Purchase it for arrival only.
Adult Only All Inclusive Resort
All-inclusive resorts are the way to go! If you want the options of endless traditional dishes and local cocktails, served by the beach, no kids allowed, this is the deal for you. Most resort packages include a King room stay, food, and alcoholic drinks for two people. These deals for perfect for honeymoons, weekend getaways, or a girlfriends trip. Sunset at the Palms is the ideal resort and Loleta can answer any questions that you have.
Treehouse Style Accommodations
The resort offers deluxe and suite rooms, each with balconies and garden views. You will be welcomed with a robe and slippers to undress and unwind. The lush tree vegetations provide plenty of shade and privacy on the lanai. The lanai includes a bistro table and chaise for two, which makes outdoor napping, simply heavenly.
Airport Transportation
Transportation to your resort is not included with most packages however, it can be scheduled through your resort. My suggestion would be to choose private transportation and avoid the resort bus. Why? The bus can be a long wait at the airport and take up to 3 hours to reach the resort, cutting into valuable vacation time. Typically the price for private is $80 round trip between Montego Bay airport and Negril.
Excursions
Most resorts will advise you to schedule your excursions through them. Find out if they are land or water activities. Our package included the following:

- A sail catamaran “Hobie Wave”
- Kayaks
- SUP stand-up paddleboards
- Snorkeling equipment
- Try Dives
Suggestion: Negotiate your own excursions at the beach, if they are not included in your package. You can negotiate activities such as glass bottom boat rides, snorkeling, deep sea fishing, parasailing, Island grill, and catamarans to Rick’s Cafe.

We cant skip the best part….Beach Life! The resort has a private section on beach for all a guest along Bloody Bay. At the beach, you are provided with a chair, towel, and unlimited cocktails (at 10am)

Served buffet style, The Palm Grove restaurant provides fresh cultural dishes, three times a day, at three locations on the resort. Oxtails, Jerk Chicken, Lamb Stew, Ackee, Calaloo, etc…just to name a few. The resort has three restaurants, three bars, and two cafes for visitors to dine on delectable cuisines. Each bar serves an assortment of rum and vodka cocktails at the resort and chair side at the beach.

Overall a great experience. Please be sure to bathe in mosquito spray specifically for Sand flies. Sand flies are awful and will leave scabs and scars on you as it did my best friend and I. Consult your local outdoor store for a professional strength insect repellent. Other that that, Enjoy Negril!
